The joint Welsh Association of Gastroenterology and Endoscopy / British Society of Gastroenterology (WAGE/BSG) Spring GI clinical symposium will be held in the vibrant city of Cardiff on March 27 with input from leading AUGIS members. Dr Simon Olliff from Birmingham will take attendees through the curative options for HCC and Professor Graeme Poston will discuss management dilemmas in metastatic neuroendocrine Neoplasia. This will be followed by lectures to improve outcomes in oesophagogastric and pancreatic cancer therapy by Professor Mike Griffin and Professor Richard Charnley. Dr John Morris from Glasgow will discuss models for out-of-hours endoscopy provision and Professor Des Winter from Dublin will discuss modern management of colorectal emergencies.
Mr Richard Welbourn, president of BOMSS, will continue the theme of emergency surgery by taking us through the emergency interventions for complications of weight loss surgery, how to diagnose/when and how to treat them. The emergency session will be concluded by a master class lecture of modern management of oesophago-gastric emergencies by Professor Derek Alderson.
