Could you host AUGIS 2016?

We are currently looking for a suitable venue to host our Annual Scientific Meeting in 2016.  If you are aware of any venues which may be suitable for our event, please email Sarvjit at the AUGIS Office with your suggestion – sarvjit@augis.org

To give you an idea of our requirements, the Newcastle 2013 Meeting was based on:

  • A minimum of 600 sq mt for a Trade exhibition
  • 1 x Lecture theatre for 500 delegates
  • 3 x breakout rooms for 100/150/200 people
  • 4 x meeting rooms for internal meetings for 10 -30 people
  • A location for the Council dinner (approx 50-70 people)
  • A location for Gala dinner (for a minimum of 200 people)
  • Staff/Council/delegate/sponsorship accommodation in the vicinity
  • Easily accessible by road/rail/air

 



All-Ireland conference announced

An All-Ireland upper GI conference will be held in Belfast from  May 15 – 16, 2014.  It promises to be an interesting meeting with local and international speakers. The President and Council of AUGIS are lending their support to this meeting.  

The conference will be held in the historic Europa Hotel with excellent access for bus and rail transport.

There will be a Trainee Masterclass on the Thursday morning (May 15).  Please feel free to invite trainees and colleagues who may not be aware of the meeting. 

On the social / networking side, there will be a dinner on the Thursday night with the emphasis on informality.
