Nurses/AHPs - Welcome

Welcome to the nurses and allied health care professionals section of the AUGIS website.

The affiliate section is aimed at nurses, dietitians and other allied health care professionals such as physiotherapists, psychologists, non-medical scientists who work in the fields of upper GI disease (which includes benign disease and upper GI cancers) and those involved in bariatric care.

This section aims to provide useful information, regional updates and links regarding events, conferences and research relevant to your area of practice.

We are changing our name!

Due to some confusion about who should be registered as an ‘Affiliate’ it has been decided by the AUGIS council that the ‘Affiliate’ membership category will be re-named as ‘Nurse/Allied Health Professional’.

‘Nurse/Allied Health Professional’ more clearly defines the group membership and will formally be ratified at next year’s AGM. The annual fee remains £15.
