The National Oesophago-gastric Cancer Awareness Campaign

The National Oesophago-gastric Cancer Awareness Campaign is an annual event to raise awareness of the signs, symptoms, prevention and management of UGI disease – in particular, oesophageal and gastric cancers. Work is ongoing to catch more cancer cases earlier and improve the longer term treatment for cancer survivors.

Led by Dawn Elliot, a long-standing AUGIS member and former Affilliate representative, Campaign Cancer networks are encouraged to run events to mark the Awareness Day which is usually held in April.

Healthcare professionals working in the UGI field are welcome to contact Dawn at dawn.elliott@nhct.nhs.uk
