Nurse Poster Prize 2014

A new nurses’ poster prize will be awarded for the most innovative poster submitted at the Annual conference of the Pancreatic Society of Great Britain and Ireland in November.

All those with an interest in pancreatic cancer are invited to involve their colleagues in undertaking an audit or piece of research. The results of this work can then be submitted as a poster in time for the annual conference on 27-29th November 2014 in Guildford.

The poster could focus on best practice, continuum of care, research or education for pancreatic cancer patients.  The best poster will be awarded a £250 prize.

Prof Blazeby takes on UGI role

The Royal College of Surgeons, Clinical Research Initiative – with the support of AUGIS – is pleased to announce that Professor Jane Blazeby has become the Surgical Specialty Lead in Upper GI. Prof Blazeby will act as a key link between trials centres and national clinical research networks within Upper GI and will be supported by AUGIS for three years to develop multi-centre clinical trials. Prof Blazeby would like to encourage interested clinicians to approach her for discussion on study proposals that can be processed through the appropriate funding bodies.
