Endoscopy Course

Course info: Following last year's successful pre-conference endoscopy course, we are excited to offer it again this year! Along with a basic OGD model for those with more limited experience, we hope to show the breadth of upper GI endoscopy beyond diagnostic OGDs. This will include hands-on exposure to a number of 'stations' including oesophageal stenting, ERCP, endostitch, placement of a gastric balloon, and UGI bleeding. We are looking to secure additional stations in the coming months too!

Target delegates: some diagnostic OGD experience desirable but not essential to be JAG accreditation

Max number of delegates: 20 (waiting list available and future 1-day courses planned)

HPB Immersion Course

The  HPB course will be an immersive HPB anastomosis course.

Using a reverse classroom approach to maximise learning opportunities, course delegates will be provided with a pre-course resource pack to digest before the course. On site, delegates will focus on practical exercises including pancreatojejunal anastomosis and hepaticojejunal anastomosis techniques using high quality synthetic models and benefiting from a national faculty of HPB consultants and senior trainees.

  • Target audience: Trainees interested in HPB or Transplant. All levels of HST will be catered for.
  • Maximum number of delegates: Places are currently limited to 12 (with a reserve list operational). If it is possible to expand the places, then those on the wait list will be offered an additional place on a first booked – first served basis.
