AUGIS is seeking six Consultant members to join its Bariatric Subcommittee.
The committee will join our nine other established sub committees (OG cancer, Emergency surgery, Benign/BBUGSS, HPB/GBIHPBA, Endoscopy, AHP & CNS, Roux Group, Education and EDI).
The group will aim to promote all aspects of Bariatric surgery with particular emphasis training and our annual scientific meeting.
The committee will seek to be a platform for surgeons who have an interest in bariatric surgery and to maintain our established links with BOMSS.
Criteria for Bariatric committee membership:
· Current paid up member of AUGIS (Consultant Member)
· Sub-specialty interest in bariatric surgery
· Term of office is three years with the option to reapply.
· Continuing membership of the committee will require, a minimum of 50% attendance at committee meetings. Committee members must also be a continued and paid up member of AUGIS.
· Submission of 250 word (maximum) Expression of Interest to join the Bariatric Subcommittee, explaining what you can bring to the committee and how you see the committee developing.
