All submitted abstracts undergo a thorough and anonymous peer-review process. Abstracts receiving the highest scores are selected for presentation, either in short-oral or sub-specialty podium oral sessions.
Accepted abstracts presented at the AUGIS Conference will be published in the British Journal of Surgery.

Full submission guidelines are available below. In particular, please note:
- Abstracts must be no more than 250 words in length.
- All accepted and presented abstracts will be published online in the BJS.
- The submitting author should be the author presenting at the conference. If not, please advise AUGIS of any change of presenting author.
- Abstracts should be formatted with an Aim, Method, Results and Conclusions (except case reports).
