Wales Inaugural Foregut Meeting

The inaugural meeting of Foregut Wales was held on the 25th November in Cardiff. The format was aimed at the upper GI and HPB surgeons across the region as well as interventional UGI radiologists and endoscopists.

There were talks on various aspects of foregut pathology including a ‘how I do it’ video presentation. Richard Berrisford from Plymouth University Hospitals gave a guest lecture on his professional and personal journey through the process of OG cancer centralisation in the South West (Peninsula) region. The feedback from consultants and trainees was excellent and AUGIS has awarded 2 CPD points for the event. The next meeting will be held in the spring, with the intention to make this an exciting addition to the regional events calendar.
