AUGIS Statement: Daraxonrasib in Metastatic Pancreatic Cancer

🔬 AUGIS Statement: Daraxonrasib in Metastatic Pancreatic Cancer

AUGIS welcomes the recent NEJM phase III study of daraxonrasib in previously treated metastatic PDAC — an important step forward in a setting where treatment options remain limited.

While the emergence of a clinically active RAS-targeted therapy is a significant milestone, daraxonrasib is not yet approved for routine use in the UK and will require NICE appraisal before adoption.

These findings apply only to previously treated metastatic disease and should not currently change surgical decision-making outside MDT discussion or clinical trials.

AUGIS strongly supports ongoing participation in key RAS-targeted trials, which will be critical in determining impact across earlier disease stages and long-term outcomes.

AUGIS Statement: NICE Approval of Perioperative Durvalumab

AUGIS welcomes NICE approval of durvalumab + perioperative FLOT for selected patients with resectable gastric and GOJ adenocarcinoma.

This marks an important step forward in integrating immunotherapy into curative upper GI pathways, following the MATTERHORN study.

Careful multidisciplinary implementation, ongoing clinical trial participation, and prospective real-world evaluation will be essential as this approach is introduced across the UK.

AUGIS will support national collaboration to better understand outcomes, toxicity and optimal patient selection.
