Monday 16th January 2023
Royal College of Surgeons of England
Robotic surgery is becoming increasingly popular amongst upper gastrointestinal surgeons specialising in oesophageal and gastric disease. We are excited to announce that AUGIS will be holding a meeting on the 16th January at the Royal College of Surgeons for all surgeons interested in performing robotic surgery in this area. We will cover training, implementation and governance.
There will be presentations from industry partners and opportunity to meet with the robotic teams as well as surgeons experienced with these platforms. In the afternoon there will be an open forum to discuss safe implementation and governance of robotic surgery in the UK. This will lead to an AUGIS statement guiding clinicians on robotic surgery in their respective trusts. We welcome both experienced and inexperienced surgeons to partake in this important meeting designing the future of robotic OG surgery in the UK.
This meeting is free for AUGIS members and you can register on the link below.
For consultant non-members the cost to attend is £50 and for trainee surgeon non-members the cost is £25.
