Basics of Liver Surgery Course

Friday 14 October 

BOWA Medical UK, Devon

We are happy to announce that the second 'Basics of Liver Surgery Course' will take place on the 14th October 2022 at BOWA MEDICAL UK in Devon. The course is specifically designed for SpRs/equivalent grades who are due to start, or already are on their first HPB job.

This one day course, will cover both theoretical knowledge and hands-on technical skills that will provide you with the appropriate tools, to enable you to get the best out of your HPB rotation. Please find the programme for the day attached.

The course is supported by AUGIS, GBIHPBA, Roux Group and is sponsored by BOWA MEDICAL UK, who are kindly hosting the course in Devon alongside faculty from across the UK. 

The course fees are heavily subsidised too, at £100 for Roux members and £170 for non-Roux members. Delegates would however need to cover their own travel and accommodation costs.

Abstracts

If you would like to submit an abstract for oral or poster presentation or a video presentation for the GBIHPBA Robotic HPB Meeting, please see further details below:

  • The abstracts should be less than 200 words and may be chosen for oral presentation the conference 
  • The videos should be 7 minutes long with 3 minutes for question answer and should be accompanied with a text explaining the video (less than 200 words)
  • The best abstract and video will receive a prize.
  • Please use the form provided to submit your abstract. Click here to download the form
  • Closing date for submissions: Monday 29 August 2022

Registration 

Registration for this meeting is free for AUGIS members and Allied Health Professionals and CNS'. AUGIS members will need their membership number for the registration discount. If you are not  a member, the registration fee is £25
