AUGIS Foregut Study Day

Benign Upper GI & HPB Surgery

About the Meeting

The AUGIS Foregut Study Day focuses on some of the most common benign Upper GI and HPB conditions encountered in routine surgical practice. These topics are not only highly relevant to day‑to‑day clinical work but also feature prominently in the FRCS exit examination across general, emergency and Upper GI surgery.

The meeting aims to provide delegates with up-to-date, evidence-based management strategies across key areas. Sessions will combine didactic teaching with interactive discussion, delivered by senior consultant surgeons from the Mersey and North West region.

Who Should Attend?

While the programme is primarily designed for middle-grade doctors in general surgery, it will be of value to surgeons at all stages of training and practice, particularly those with an interest in Upper GI surgery.
Core Surgical Trainees rotating through general surgery placements are also expected to gain significant benefit from attending this study day.

Why Attend?

  • Gain a comprehensive update on current best practice and latest evidence
  • Strengthen knowledge and confidence for FRCS exit examination preparation
  • Learn directly from experienced consultant faculty
  • Network and build professional links with colleagues and consultants from across the region

This study day offers a focused, high-quality educational opportunity designed to support both clinical practice and career development.
