Yorkshire Upper GI Trainee Development Day

 

This is a one-day Yorkshire Upper GI careers and skills meeting, designed to provide a comprehensive overview of training and career pathways in Upper GI surgery. The programme combines expert-led talks with practical skills sessions, covering the breadth of the specialty - including oesophagogastric, bariatric, HPB, and emergency general surgery - alongside focused sessions on career development, research, and life as a trainee.

Who is it for?

 

The meeting is aimed at medical students, foundation doctors, core trainees, and early-stage higher surgical trainees who are considering or pursuing a career in Upper GI surgery. It will also be relevant to those wanting to better understand training pathways, develop practical skills, and gain insight from both trainees and senior clinicians.
